Volunteers Needed!

Saturday–Tuesday, May 4–May 7

Florida History Day (FHD) invites you to be a volunteer at the state contest, May 5–7, in Tallahassee, FL. This competition wouldn't be possible without people such as you assisting with setup, student registration, and contest operations. Most volunteer shifts are four hours, and volunteers who work eight or more hours will receive a free FHD t-shirt. FHD staff will confirm your assignment in April.

Florida History Day is an annual academic program sponsored by the Museum of Florida History. Students in grades 6 to 12 conduct research using primary and secondary sources on topics related to an annual theme and present their findings in a historical paper, exhibit, documentary, performance, or website. The state contest requires about 50 volunteers, so please join us, and feel free to pass this invitation on to others!

Volunteer options and times are listed below.
